Laura Lopez

Chemistry Graduate from Durham University.

About Me

I’m Laura and I’ve just graduated from Durham with an integrated Masters in Chemistry, and will be starting a PhD in Chemistry and Geology, at the University of Manchester in January. Whilst at university I’ve enjoyed playing water polo and rugby alongside my studies. I was also involved in a mentoring scheme to help teenagers at a local school with their Science and Maths A-levels and university applications. In sixth form, I tutored GCSE Maths and really enjoyed helping other students understand concepts and learn to solve problems. I am bilingual, having moved to the UK from Spain when I was 9 I speak Spanish at home and would be happy to tutor Spanish to GCSE or A-level students, and can offer conversation practice with a native speaker!
